Statement

私は、矛盾や揺らぎを内包した世界を「理想郷（Free Utopia）」として描いています。
それは完成された楽園ではなく、未だ選ばれていない未来、居住されない風景、
そして人間の感情や記憶が静かに漂う場所です。

水彩という流動的で制御しきれない素材を用いることで、
偶然性と意図、秩序と混沌が同時に存在する状態を画面上に生み出しています。
色は溶け合い、境界は曖昧になり、時間や物語は固定されません。

私の作品に登場する風景やモチーフは、
自然、動物、植物、あるいは抽象的な形態として現れますが、
それらは特定の意味を指示するものではなく、
鑑賞者それぞれの記憶や感情と重なり合う余白として存在しています。

この「自由な理想郷」は、
現実からの逃避ではなく、現実を問い直すための場所です。
不完全さや不確かさを肯定しながら、
それでもなお美しさや希望を見出そうとする行為そのものが、
私の制作の根幹にあります。

I create works that explore a concept I call “Free Utopia” —
not as a perfected paradise, but as an uninhabited landscape,
a future yet to be chosen, and a space where emotions and memories quietly drift.

Working primarily with watercolor, a medium defined by fluidity and unpredictability,
I allow intention and chance, order and chaos, to coexist on the surface.
Colors bleed into one another, boundaries dissolve,
and time and narrative remain unfixed.

The landscapes and forms that appear in my work —
whether natural, animal, botanical, or abstract —
do not point toward a single meaning.
Instead, they function as open spaces where the viewer’s own memories
and emotional experiences can resonate.

This “Free Utopia” is not an escape from reality,
but a place from which to reconsider it.
By embracing ambiguity and imperfection,
my work seeks moments of beauty and quiet hope
within the uncertainties of the world we inhabit.
